GizChina now reports that Elephone could be working on a mysterious device with some really impressive specs. During the annual Hong Kong trade fair, Elephone disclosed that it is working on a new flagship device which will feature a QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display, 4GB of RAM and a 20.7-megapixel camera with Sony’s IMX230 sensor. The smartphone is also said to feature a metal frame and really thin side bezels....

A hacker named ikex has created what’s apparently the first iPhone worm, and it’s currently infecting jailbroken iPhones across Australia. The “ikee” worm, as it’s being called, takes advantage of the fact that jailbroken iPhones with SSH installed all have the same default root password of “alpine,” and once in the system it changes your wallpaper to an image of Rick Astley and then tries to install itself on other jailbroken iPhones on the network....

Although Steve Ballmer tried to reenergize the Lumia smartphone brand, Satya Nadella has killed Lumia slowly but surely. Allo seems to be the Google’s latest attempt at a full-fledged Messaging app, a much-needed product since the Hangout has failed to take off amongst general consumers. The Allo chat app comes with all the bells and whistles including stickers, sending media, delivery indicators and a unique feature called “WhisperShout” which will let you drag your finger up and down to control the text size for better visibility. Google has made it evident the very reason for this app to exist is the Google Assistant....
