Perhaps the easiest way to download Facebook videos is via DownFacebook. It is an online service that doesn’t require you to download or install anything. All you need is your web browser with Flash Player installed and an internet connection. It provides you with two ways to download videos from Facebook – one, by pasting the URL of the Facebook video you want to download in the box or two, by simply appending “down” before Facebook in the URL.
FB Downloader is another (relatively simple) online Facebook video downloader. Simply copy and paste the Facebook video URL into the field on the homepage and click “go.” The tool will give you the option to download the video in either SD or HD quality. It also provides an option to convert video into MP3 audio files. Is your Facebook video private? No problem, as they have a private video downloader tool as well.
Services similar to DownFacebook include KeepVid and Keep-tube whose services are not consistent enough for me to recommend. Another widely used and widely recommended way to download Facebook videos is by using web browser add-ons. There are quite a lot of Firefox add-ons specifically made to work as Facebook video downloaders. One such add-on is aptly named Facebook Video, which was once a popular Greasemonkey Facebook video script. It works even with Flash disabled in the browser!
An add-on similar to Facebook Video is Boost for Facebook, which is much more than a Facebook video downloader. If you prefer Greasemonkey scripts instead of add-ons, you can install Facebook Video or Facebook Fixer. You can as well use a desktop service to download and save Facebook videos on your PC or Mac. One popular software is IDM (Internet Download manager), which shows the download link every time a Facebook video is loaded. Similar options available are Orbit Downloader and SpeedBit Video Downloader
