Honor 9X Pro: Design and Display

In terms of design, the 9X Pro features a 3D curved glass design with a pop-up camera module for the front-facing camera and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication. Towards the front, it has a 6.59-inch Full HD+ panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 92% screen-to-body ratio. Besides, the display is also TÜV Rheinland certified to cut down on the blue light and reduce eye strain. The 9X Pro comes in two colorways: Midnight Black and Phantom Purple.

Honor 9X Pro: Performance

Talking about performance, the Honor 9X Pro runs on the Kirin 810, the company’s proprietary chipset based on the 7nm process, with Mali-G52 MP6 GPU. It comes with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. To power the internals, the device has a 4000mAh battery with 10W charging. For connectivity, there is support for dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, and Bluetooth 5.0. Among other things, the handset has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication and a USB Type-C port. It also has a liquid cooling system to cut down on the heat and prevent performance throttling while gaming or performing other resource-intensive tasks. On the software front, the 9X Pro runs on EMUI 9.1.1 based on Android 9. It comes with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), and not Google Services, which means it misses out on Google apps and services. However, to provide access to other apps, it does include Huawei’s own App Gallery, which can be used to download these apps on the device.

Honor 9X Pro: Camera

For optics, the 9X Pro sports a 48MP (f/1.8) triple camera setup on the rear with an LED flash. The primary camera is assisted with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it has a 16MP shooter inside a pop-up module, with f/2.2 aperture, for selfies.
