Gionee S6 Pro comes fitted with a 5.5-inch FHD display and 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood lies an octa core MediaTek Helio P10 clocked at 1.8GHz and paired with a 4GB LPDDR3 RAM. On the storage front the device offers 64GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot that can further accommodate up to 128GB. The S6 Pro features a 13-Megapixel primary sensor with PDAF while the secondary camera shapes up in the form of a 5-Megapixel sensor. The Fingerprint sensor is at the back despite the physical home button at the front. The fingerprint sensor claims to unlock the phone in 0.1 seconds and has been certified by TEE security solutions. Connectivity features stand include the usual 4G support, Hybrid dual SIM slots, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11. Backed by a 3130mAh battery pack Gionee S6 Pro runs the latest version of Amigo OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Gionee S6 Pro will retail in Rose Gold, Silver and Gold colour options and is currently priced at 1999 Yuan (apprx.US$ 300/ Rs 20380) and will be available from the official Gionee online store. At the outset the Gionee S6 Pro seems like a good offering but considering the fact that it will go at loggerheads with more powerful competitors like Xiaomi Mi 5 and the Zuk Z2 the prospects seem a bit dull, but again, Gionee has never been the one that is interested in playing the price game.
