The Face ID boasts of high accuracy, and the chances of a random user gaining access via Face ID is 1 in a million which is very less as opposed to the 1 in 50,000 accuracy rate offered by the Touch ID. Apple has apparently worked with Hollywood to create face mask and try to spoof the Facial recognition. The Face ID works in conjecture with a series of sensors including infrared camera, flood illuminator, ambient light sensor, front camera and the Dot projector. When one looks at the phone, the IR sensor projects 30k invisible dots and works with the camera to check the image with the one stored in the secure enclave chip. Gestures Galore
With Apple ditching the Touch ID and the Home button, the user interface of the iPhone 7 heavily relies on the gestures. It’s interesting how Apple has managed to incorporate all the navigation options without the need for a physical button. The control center can be accessed by swiping down from the upper right side, and for the notification, one needs to swipe down from the top left side.
The Selfie treatment and the Dual Rear Camera
The front camera on the iPhones have been good enough, but unlike other manufacturers, Apple didn’t actually spruce up its front camera. However in the iPhone X, the front camera has received the treatment it deserves, and as a result of this, we can see a Portrait Mode available for the front camera. The dual rear camera setup on the iPhone X consists of a 12MP+12MP lens combo. Both the lens offer Optical Image Stabilisation. The telephoto lens offers an aperture of f/2.4 while the wide-angle lens offers f/1.8.

The all new emoji uses face recognition to detect your facial expression and synthesizes the same into an animated emoji.
