We have to warn you that it is neither pint-sized nor cheap. It is over a gigabyte to download and is priced just a cent short of a tenner in US Dollars. But if you have played the original in the nineties, you will be hard-pressed to keep sentimental tears from running when the app launches and the familiar (now iconic) tune plays. And yes, of course, the crashing sound that will follow will be that of veteran gamers’ jaws hitting the floor as they see that the game – the whole darned game – has been rendered perfectly for the iPad....

For some people, the release of Microsoft’s MS Office suite on the iPad removes the last barrier that stood between a tablet and productivity. Yes, there have been mobile office suites around for more than a decade now, but for many, it ain’t Office unless it comes from Redmond. Well, the iPad now has MS Office. The suite comes in the form of three apps that can be downloaded separately – MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint....

A few months ago, Apple launched the iPhone 12 series. While the number of phones exceeded expectations (four!), something that we mostly took for granted went missing from the package. Apple this year announced that it will not be bundling the new iPhones with power adaptors and earbuds which means the only accessory an iPhone will now come with is a USB Type-C to Lightning cable. The reason? To make the iPhones more environment friendly and to reduce the company’s overall carbon footprint....

But with all that factored in, we cannot understand why the company went for an event like the just-concluded Zen Festival at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. Yes, we know that it is always good for a company to meet its fans and followers – we really wish that sort of thing happened more often, really. But we do not think that doing so from a stage in a massive hall works....

1. Google Drive Google Drive comes straight out of the biggest search-engine giant, Google. Compared to Dropbox, it is justly new in the cloud storage service game. However, over the years, with consistent updates and the addition of new features, it did manage to garner over a billion users till 2018. The service relies on Google account, so if you have one, you can get started pretty much right away....

Which is why Apple’s idea of delivering alerts in case of increased heart rates seemed like such a good idea. The Apple Watch would use the heart rate sensors to measure your heart rate and its other sensors to work out whether you were active or not. The alert would go out only if the app sensed that your heart rate was high for a period of ten minutes AND you were relatively inactive....

Masquerade, the developer behind MSQRD has confirmed that they will be a part of Facebook through the blog post while Facebook seems to have confirmed the same to Techcrunch. The app uses advacnced imaging technology to add filters for the photos and videos, and make them fun and engaging. The terms of the deal are still kept under the wraps and it is also not known how Facebook will be leveraging MSQRD’s features....

As you’d expect, the dashboard will offer insights on how much you’ve used the apps over the course of a week through neatly produced charts. You can tap on any specific bar to learn the exact amount. In addition, the apps now allow you to set up usage reminders and send a notification as soon as you exhaust your daily time allowance. You can, of course, continue to browse by simply dismissing the alert....

The roll out is said to extend over the initial months of the new year and any user who has been a part of the rollout will be able to use the Live Photos on the Facebook apps in both iPhone and iPad. At the core of the Live Photos lie a 12-Megapixel still image which has been stitched with two other videos taken at a time frame of 1....

The new Facebook calling feature, available at the moment only for US-based iPhone owners, relies on the classic VoIP concept of delivering the message. The system works pretty neat and it takes users only a couple of steps to set up a live conversation. Facebook Free-Call System: A small piece of the puzzle In order to make a phone-call using the well-known social service and to avoid direct carrier charges, iPhone owners can simply launch the dedicated Facebook Messaging application, open a conversation with a partner, tap the “i” icon in the upper-right corner and go for a “”Free Call”....

It is apparently easy to broadcast the event and you don’t need to install any other app or package for that, all you need to do is hit the Live video icon on the status update and then Facebook would allow you to write a brief description on what the video is going to be and would also let you choose the audience for sharing the stream. While the broadcast is in progress, you can see the stats like number of friends who are tuned in and the users in turn can comment live on the video, much like the YouTube streams....

A Reddit user has unearthed the Partial Screenshot commit code in the Android Nougat 7.1 AOSP. Since the commit has already been added to the Master Branch of Android it is most likely that this feature is on its way and we will be able to use in in the imminent Nougat updates. The Redditor was able to activate the feature by Changing the code in the 53 line of TakeSceenshotService and thus was able to activate the feature in what seems to be a Nexus 4 device running a version of NitrogenOS ROM....
